We have spent awesome two weeks of summer vacation in Kullasmarina cottages. As we had big group of family members and friend - we rented 3 cottages (Pinta 1 & 2 and Ninja 1). All cottages are semi-detached houses with separate entrances. All of them have everything required for daily life: equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, sauna, TV, etc. ||We traveled with kids: 8 y.o, 6, 7, 1 - all enjoyed location and beautiful nature. There are plenty of things for them to do outside: kids golf, tennis, Frisbee golf (which doesn't make any sense for me :-), etc. However the cottages are not at the lake shores, the closest beach is in walking distance. It is very sandy and suitable for even very small kids. ||Row boat is included into the cottage cost, but you may rent electric motor which makes it a bit easier and faster to navigate... remember you will need to carry out/in heavy battery every time you need it!||Nearest shops are in 2km distance - you can find mostly everything you may need for day-to-day things. ||Swimming pool in Padasjoki was closed for renovation while we were there, but luckily we had +28 - +30C whole 2 weeks... so we did not need it. ||Lahti which is another big city is in 60km.. Helsinki is in less than 2 hours drive... ||||We enjoyed a lot of overall hospitality, special thanks to Kalevi and Natalia!

Really great place. Well-done house. All inclusive (washing machine, dishwashing, grill/gas, terrace etc). Room is scaled for up to 16 persons. Lake is close (500m to walk), rent of boat included into the price. A lot of walking roads to walk nearby. Price was Ok. All together - absolutely great price / quality ratio.

Kullasmarina Holiday Resort consists of three semi-detached houses (built in 2009). Each of them has two luxury villas. Villas 1-4 (Niña and Pinta buildings, 88.5 square meters, 3-4 bedrooms, a kitchen and a terrace in each villa) have 10 beds and a cot. Villas 5-6 (Santa Maria, 103 square meters, 4-5 bedrooms, a kitchen and a huge terrace in each villa) have 15 beds and a cot. Also a potty and a high chair are available. ||||There are an electric sauna, a CD player, a dishwasher, a coffeemaker, a fireplace, a DVD player, an electric oven, dish sets, a TV, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave oven and an air conditioning machine in each villa. Also a washing machine and a drying cabinet for clothes are available. ||||Additionally a rowing boat and life jackets are included in room prices. However, the price isn't much more than in small hotel rooms. Actually our family of two adults and two teens got the villa number 6 with 5 bedrooms (one of them is a loft) cheaper than two rooms in a hotel. Bed linen and towels are not included in the price. We had to pay a deposit of 130 euros in cash and we got that back after we had cleaned the villa properly before our check-out (the final inspection was exact).||||There is an electric grill on the terrace. And the view from the terrace to the marina (a yacht harbor) of Padasjoki is fantastic, especially from this villa #6 which is the last one on the rock. ||||It is about 400 meters to the marina. There you can find a restaurant, an ice cream kiosk and the ship named M/S Elbatar which cruises to the National Park of Päijänne (see separate reviews of Kelvenne Trail) in mid-summer. ||||We visited the National Park of Päijänne with our rowing boat, too. It is only about one kilometer from the beach to Kalainsaari Island (there is a barbecue hut in the southwestern part of the island).||||There is one shared outdoor whirlpool (a jacuzzi) for all villas in Kullasmarina Holiday Resort. However, the use of the whirlpool is very expensive.||||Kullasmarina Holiday Resort owns a sandy beach, too. Unfortunately it is situated a bit too far away, about 300-400 meters from villas, down a steep slope and over a road. But the beach is sandy, shallow and very nice. Only some temporary buildings there were a bit ugly. Also a volleyball court is at disposal on the beach.||||There is an extremely good disc golf park next to Kullasmarina Holiday Resort. Also free Tuomastornit observation towers are situated only 400 meters from the resort (follow signs "Maisematorni"). Jogging paths (and cross-country skiing tracks in winter, also to the National Park of Päijänne over lake ice) are very good, too.||||We can honestly recommend this accommodation!
