Partaharju-Säätiö - Pieksämäki

Partaharju-Säätiö on yksi pääomansa käyttämisen perusteella toimivista säätiöistä Suomessa. Säätiön päätoiminta koskee lasten ja nuorten hyvinvointia tukevia toimia ja projekteja. Partaharju-Säätiö on sijaitettu Pieksämäkiin, Osoite: Partaharjuntie 361, 6280 Pieksämäki, Suomi.

We stayed for a few days for a wedding weekend. This is the kind of place where locals would go for school camps, family trips, etc. ||||Rooms in the hotel section are pretty spartan, but they serve their purpose, are are very reasonably priced, with a great view out the window. The cottages are a lot more atmospheric, though probably best only if you're travelling with family or a large group. I can't speak for the dormitory section as I never saw the inside of it.||||Breakfast is served in the main building and is in the form of a small buffet with all the Finnish staples like porridge, rice pies and egg butter, dark bread and filling options, etc. ||||The site itself is THE greatest thing about this place. It's totally stunning, especially on a clear winter's day after some fresh overnight snow! The scenery is typical of this "lakes" region of Finland; the complex is situated right by a large lake. If you can, rent out the "Rantasauna" for a morning (the sauna cottage right on the lake shore) - our group relaxed there, took sauna and took dips in the ice hole located right outside the cottage. ||||In summary, if you know someone who has invited you on a wedding weekend or some other event here...run, don't walk! Just go!

We were here for a wedding, so spent a few days before and after the wedding relaxing here.|The hotel rooms are basic, and more dormitory than hotel, but they provided us with a place to sleep.||The breakfast was fairly good, and included a wide selection each day of cold and warm options.||The grounds provide plenty of space to go exploring, and for us trudging through the snow was experience enough!
