The individual rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Beds and bedding are good! Room doors to the hallway are not too sound-proofing, when e.g. small kids run in the hallway. Toilets are shared, in the hallway. Showers are sizable, also shared, and SLIPPERY.||The common kitchen is super well equipped and neat for all cooking, with individual fridges for every room. The common dining room is also very spacious. The garden can well be used.||The main entrance stairs would greatly benefit of a sturdy hand rail, for elders and the disabled.||Our stay was very enjoyable and quiet!

The owner has changed, and now a bed place will run you 70€ for a night. Mind you not for a room, but per person. This is completely insane! No breakfast, not an own bathroom or even a toilet...

The price is way too high, and has therefore almost completely outpriced families or backpackers. No reason to stay here with the current prices and (lack of) commodities. Why hotel prices for an average hostel experience?

2 stars because of the idyllic location in the Finnish archipelago.

By Villan is a refurbishment project in process; the old dormitory is being transformed into pleasant accommodations. 5 or 6 refurbished 2-person or 4-person rooms are already nicely done. Shared showers and bathrooms are in order. Rooms have code lockboxes for the keys.||||Further, a large well-equipped kitchen and dining room are shared, for guests to prepare their own breakfasts and meals.||||Excellent progress for Högsåra!

The new owners have made an a amazing job renovating the old house in the spring 2022. Comftable, quiet rooms rooms and lovely beds! Everything was super-fresh. I will be back, many many times
